FAKE HANDMADE

.

3D design technology is a fast growing and developing industry and 3D printing is becoming increasingly popular. Inspired by the 'Fabrics of India' exhibition at the V&A, this piece explores the individual nature and advantages of handmade objects. The work aims to create a 3D printed, "fake handmade" piece of jewellery. The concept of faux handmade potentially represents a future direction for mass market jewellery design, as physical jewellery making skills and techniques become increasingly rare during our digital revolution.
