TRASH TO TREASURE

Part of a Live Event 'One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure' was a performance driven project in which I focused on the saying 'One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure'. In doing so, I initially collected broken and 'unsellable' objects from a number of different charity shops in North London. Using these objects, I produced a collection of wearable jewellery pieces thus, transforming trash into treasure. During the performance I exchanged my creations for the audience's 'trash' to complete a cycle of trash to treasure and also to draw attention to the unsustainable nature of our consumerist throwaway culture.
